Greetings,

Our TLLP team is making efforts in having our students familiar with online web tools and social media. One of the tools we have been using is Twitter. up to this point, we have used Twitter to post information such as:

-Test dates

-New classroom website updates of solutions

-reminders

-practice reminders

Out of 300 grade 9 students, only 50 have signed on to our twitter feed. To generate awareness and to use this social media avenue with greater effectiveness, we have recently started a Twitter Math Contest. The first problem is below:

@AmbroMath9

Roll Up The Rim Problem: How much revenue was made at this Tim Horton's when the photo was taken? Ambro Math Contest

Attention Gr.9: Hand in your contest solution of the Tweet below by Tuesday Oct. 7 by 8:30AM in room 223. Slide your solution under the door

Next we have to convince the powers that be of the board to allow access of Twitter on class iPad sets!

Thanks,

Claudio
